Oh it’s that time of the year again. It always seems to creep up on me. This year I’m slightly more organised, as I recently published a tutorial for how to sew a Christmas tree ornament. I originally made these two years ago but decided this year was the year to show you all how to make them.
I also joined some other great bloggers from around the world to bring you this great little round up of easy holiday projects to sew in under an hour. There’s a great assortment of projects here and I’m sure you’ll find something to sew to make your house just a bit more Christmassy or to give as a gift.

Staci from CraftyStaci.com shows you how to make delicious looking fabric ribbon candy ornaments. These would be perfect to decorate the tree in the hot Christmas summers in Australia. The ants would always get to the candy canes if we decorated the tree with them when I was younger. They are amazing at tracking down anything sugary in summer!

Anna from Tea and a Sewing Machine at AWilson.co.uk shows you how to to make embroidery hoop Christmas decoration. I love the effect of using tulle for the background to give a see through look. I'll be trying this technique for sure. I also love Anna's idea of sewing your Christmas goodies in October!

This was one of the first tutorials I made. You can grab the free template and make a little softie or you can keep it flat and turn it into a Christmas tree ornament by adding a ribbon loop and topstitching like I did in the Christmas tree ornament tutorial.
Lindsay from SeEasyBeingGreen-Blog.com shows you how to make these quick and easy Christmas stockings. I love her idea for using wooden letters to personalise the stockings and fusible fleece is one of my favourites. I use it when makingĀ fabric book panels.

Happy holiday sewing and I see you next time,
Domenica
