Hello all! Although I haven’t been able to get into the sewing room to create any new tutorials lately, I have been browsing the internet and coming across some cool things. These are the things that make me go “Whoa! How cool is that??!!”. I wanted to share some of those cool things that I’ve come across incase you haven’t seen them. (it’s also kind of a way for me to remember the cool things I’ve come across as well 😉 )

Feb 2015

No Pictures here. Just straight out text so I can actually get some information out without being distracted. Grrr. Too easily distracted at this point in time!

Color Me Fabric

Hayley, over at Welcome to the Mouse House, is getting ready to release a fabric line with Michael Miller Fabrics. It’s fabric that you can colour in! The line is called Color Me featuring two different designs. A Royal Life for the girls and To the Moon and Back for the boys. Load your kiddies up with fabric markers at bedtime and let them go for gold colouring in a pillowcase made of this awesome fabric. I’ve freaked out about textas all over the bed sheets before, but this fabric helps to satisfy any child’s desire to draw on the bed and make it all ok!

The Great British Sewing Bee

Eek! I’ve found a way to watch the Great British Sewing Bee all the way down here in Australia. It’s more awesome than I thought it would be! I get slightly excitedly stressed watching the show but have an overwhelming desire to go and sew after I finish watching it. I’m loving Lorna’s calmness while sewing and I can’t quite work out how Ryan gets his garments finished so quickly. I don’t usually watch TV, but this show is a must watch for me. If I can watch it, I’m pretty sure you can too. All you need to do is create an account on the Filmon website then find the Great British Sewing Bee on the BBC2 channel. Expand the details for the show and it should give you an option to ‘Record Show’. Once that is done and the show has aired you can go into your recordings and view the show. Awesome! Let me know if it works for you too.

How Cool is Heather Rosas?!

I love Heather Rosas designs. Her fabric is just adorable with Fairyville being my favourite! Heather has some freebies that you can check out over on her website here.

What cool things have you come across (or have created) in the world of sewing and fabric this month? I would love to hear about it in the comments below.

Until next time, happy sewing (or in my my case, happy browsing the internet 😉 )
